Learning Communities
Learning Communities August 21st, 2011 through late May
Learning Communities are mid-sized groups (15-30 people) where people develop relationships in a warm and casual environment. Weekly meetings at 9:00 a.m. include fellowship, coffee and refreshments. Expect a time of announcements, prayer and usually lots of laughter! Interactive Bible teaching is also a core element of weekly group meetings. Periodic social activities, service projects and outreaches provide opportunities to show the love of Christ in practical ways.
Learning Communities are a great place to meet kindred spirits with whom you might want to connect to do further and more in depth activities. In short, we Learn to be a Community!

A study of Paul’s letters to the Philippians and Colossians will give us timely examples of living for Christ, as Paul’s prayer is “that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment.” This group connects on many levels, in prayer, help and encouragement throughout the year.
Saltshaker Group

We will be studying 2 Peter, Malachi and Jude. It’s a great way to meet new people, apply all the “one anothers” and strengthen your knowledge of the Word so you can have an answer to whoever might ask.
Prayer Room Group

Location: Room 9
The first half hour is usually given to fellowship and prayer requests. The second half hour is given to God’s Word. We’ll be in a study of God’s holiness by RC Sproul. “The Holiness of God” examines the meaning of holiness and why people are both fascinated and terrified by a holy God.
