Children

Equipping and partnering with parents to raise kids who Know, Love, and Obey God.

The Foundation

The Gospel Project is a unique, three-year program from Lifeway that helps churches and families ground their children in the gospel from Genesis through Revelation.

At each grade level, children are taught the gospel through age-appropriate material both in church and in the home. The curriculum is divided into volumes, units, and sessions in order to ensure continuity across lessons. The children will be exposed to the compelling and transformative stories of Scripture while also seeing how these stories fit into the broader storyline and context of the Bible. Along with the Sunday lessons, this curriculum includes At Home resources designed to assist you in conducting family worship at home. These resources include videos, songs, prayer sheets, activity sheets, and worship guides. Our hope is that as parents and a church we accomplish the call of Deuteronomy 6:4-8:

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Below are the resources we encourage every parent to own and use.

New to Faith Church?

What to Expect

Parents/Guardians can check in children, from Newborn to 5th grade, at the Registration Computer in the Children’s Ministry hallway. As you walk in the front door, turn left down the hallway. A volunteer will be there, ready to show you around, and answer any questions you may have. Please allow a few minutes to be entered into our computer if it is your child’s first time attending Faith Church.

Children's Program

For Newborns through 5th Grade, we offer children’s ministry during both the 9 and 11 am services. During this time, we have age specific and appropriate classes, including a nursery. For children three years old and younger, they will go directly to their class after checking in. For kids four years old through 5th grade, they will go to Room 5 after checking in for a time of Kids Worship. From there, they break off into classes for age-appropriate Bible lessons. When you register, we will show you around so that you know where to go for pick up!

Children in Service

While we offer children’s programs during our worship service, we also want to make it clear that children are always welcome in the service with their parents; we truly view them as a blessing, not a distraction. We do have a Cry Room so that, if necessary, parents can remove themselves from the sanctuary without missing the service. This room is also available for any nursing mothers.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email our Family Pastor, Clint Saxon, at clint@faithchurchrr.org.
