Children’s Ministry (Birth-5th Grade)

Equipping and partnering with parents to raise kids who Know, Love, and Obey God.

Here at Faith Church, we believe that parents are to be the primary disciple-makers in their child’s life. We as a church want to equip and partner with parents in this task! To help accomplish this goal, we have chosen to use the Gospel Story for Kids curriculum that is specifically designed to help the church and family partner together.

For every lesson we teach at church, there are five corresponding family devotionals in the book Old Story New.  As well there is a storybook Bible, The Gospel Story Bible, which contains a story that corresponds with each lesson taught at church.  These resources enable parents to reinforce and expand upon what their kids are learning each week at church. Our hope is that as parents and a church we accomplish the call of Deuteronomy 6:4-8,

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Below are the resources we encourage every parent to own and use.  Please visit the resource table in the Children’s Ministry wing for a handout to know what lesson we are currently on.

If money is a concern, please let us know and we will gladly provide these resources.  We want to make sure that these are in the hands of every parent!

New to Faith Church?

What to expect – Parents/Guardians can check in children, from Newborn to 5th grade, at the Registration Computer in the Children’s Ministry hallway. As you walk in the front door turn left down the hallway and a volunteer will be there ready to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Please allow a few minutes to be entered into our computer if it is your child’s first time attending Faith Church.

Children’s Program – For Newborns through 5th Grade, we offer children’s ministry during the both the 9 and 11 am services. During this time, we have age specific and appropriate classes, including a nursery. For children three years old and younger they will go directly to their class after checking in. For kids four years old through 5th grade, they will go to Room 5 after checking in for a time of Kids Worship. From there they break off into classes for age-appropriate Bible lessons. When you register, we will show you around so that you know where to go for pick up!

Children in Service – While we offer children’s programs during our worship service, we also want to make it clear that children are always welcome in the service with their parents; we truly view them as a blessing, not a distraction. Attached to the back of our sanctuary is a Cry Room so that, if necessary, parents can remove themselves from the sanctuary without missing the service. This room is also available for any nursing mothers.
