We believe that membership is about far more than the ability to vote on a budget or church business. We believe, at its heart, that membership is first and foremost about people creating a covenant and commitment to walk, serve, participate, give and share with one another through the local church. Membership is the commitment that says, “I’m willing to forebear with these brothers and sisters as we attempt to honor Jesus with our life.” We see membership as a commitment to stay together and work through issues with one another so that we may effectively serve together.
The first step to becoming a member is to take a membership class. Membership classes are two weeks, they meet from 9-10am Sunday mornings before the service. During these classes you will about the church, the history of the Evangelical Free Church, our statement of faith and particular doctrinal and theological stances we believe are important.
Other steps to becoming a member would include signing the statement of faith and an elder interview.
We have membership classes roughly once a quarter. You can communicate with the church office to get information about our next membership class.
